We are looking for an exceptional commercial lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and isn't afraid of lofty goals and challenges. To succeed in this position, you must be able to work independently and efficiently. You will handle contract negotiations and advise on a range of commercial issues important to MongoDB’s business. This is a full-time position based in Ireland, but we will consider locations in the UK or mainland Europe for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
1. Draft and negotiate cloud and licensing agreements, and other technology contracts
2. Provide strategic legal and business advice on contract-related issues to a rapidly-growing and high-performing sales organization, and other teams within the sales ecosystem
3. Identify and implement processes to streamline negotiations and scale legal resources
4. Develop training resources to enable our sales team to navigate the contracting process effectively
5. Tackle other interesting legal projects and assist team members on others as needed
Requirements
6. 3+ years of commercial transactions experience, preferably including technology licensing and cloud agreements
7. Proven record of success in-house and/or at a top law firm
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
9. Strong attention to detail
10. Ability to understand complex contractual issues, assess risk while exercising strong business judgment, and provide clear legal advice
11. Knowledge of GDPR and Privacy Law an advantage
12. Curious and enthusiastic about technology and databases
13. Enjoy working hard and overcoming challenges
14. Great leadership and teamwork skills, as well as a willingness to take on responsibility
15. Experience advancing projects in a multi-stakeholder environment, and handling and prioritizing multiple projects
16. Licensed in an appropriate jurisdiction
