This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of sustainability reporting and corporate governance, navigating complex legislation and ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory standards and best practices. You’ll help shape Apple’s approach to sustainability reporting and advise on global trends and developments, including emerging legislation in the EU and other key jurisdictions worldwide. You’ll work cross-functionally across multiple regions, and break down complex legal requirements into clear, actionable advice for business partners. There may be additional opportunities to work on general corporate legal and governance matters for Apple’s international subsidiaries.Minimum QualificationsIrish, EU or UK qualified lawyerProven experience (minimum 5 years) on corporate law and governance, ESG matters, sustainability reporting, or related fields at a major law firm, in-house or regulatory authority.Strong familiarity with global sustainability reporting regulations, such as the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, the EU Taxonomy Regulation, IFRS Sustainability Standards and other relevant frameworks.Experience in providing legal advice to business leaders and senior executives.Preferred QualificationsOutstanding Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear and concise manner for non-legal audiences.Relationship Building: Proven track record of building trust and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, executives, and external partners in various regions and business units.Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex legal frameworks and resolve challenging issues creatively.Business Insight: Understanding of business operations and the ability to balance legal requirements with business objectives.Organization & Time Management: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of tasks, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Data Collection & Organization: Ability to understand large datasets from various sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with relevant standards.Curiosity & Learning: A desire to stay current on new developments in sustainability law and governance, with an interest in building a long-term career in this growing field.At Apple, we’re not all the same.
