Job Title: PRODUCTION SHIFT MANAGER
Kenny-Whelan, a specialist division of the CPL Group, is recruiting a PRODUCTION SHIFT MANAGER for a permanent position at our Global clients Sterile manufacturing plant in West Cork.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead the Shift Team to achieve production targets/KPIs
* Maintain highest standards of product quality, integrity and hygiene
* Monitor and control costs
* Evaluate safe working practices and conduct of the team, contractors and visitors
* Ensure proper training and management of team members
* Maintain positive working relationships and ensure effective communication at all levels
* Regularly inspect and maintain work areas and equipment within your control
* Drive initiatives to maximise employee contribution and drive improvements in product quality and process/system efficiencies
* Liaise with QA & QC, logistics, technical and maintenance teams to achieve optimum results
* Interface with HR in relation to employee performance/development and any employee relations issues
General Management:
* Cover for Production Manager when absent and support Production Manager in other areas of production
* Contribute to overall department performance plan in areas of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Motivation and Environment
* Drive correct usage, maintenance and development of all production systems

Requirements:
* 2+ years experience in management/supervisory role in food manufacturing Industry required
* Third level qualification in related field desirable
* SAP/MES/scada experience highly desirable
* Strong understanding of Microsoft Office required
* Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills
