Branch Manager Job Description:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Cahir Branch.
TJ O' Mahony Cahir, located in the heart of Co. Tipperary, part of HPC Sales Ltd., Ireland's leading Builders Providers and Home Improvement/DIY Store, are seeking a full-time, Permanent Branch Manager to drive sales and branch operations.
Job Purpose: Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including sales and coordination of all branch activities, while driving sales performance and profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Staff Management: Manage a dedicated team of department managers and staff, including attendance, time keeping and disciplinary procedures.
* Sales Management: Lead external sales (including key account customers), trade counter sales, retail sales and showroom sales.
* KPI Communication: Communicate Key Performance Indicators to branch management and staff, providing direction and support to maximize branch profitability.
* Customer Service: Ensure exceptional levels of service to customers and implement best practices throughout the branch.
* Operations Management: Manage yard, warehousing and transport functions, maintaining a clean and organized store.
* Purchasing: Effectively manage branch purchasing, referencing Group approved supplier arrangements to secure the best deals.
* Inventory Management: Maintain adequate inventory levels within working capital guidelines.
* Cost Management: Regularly review and manage cost inputs, including haulage/delivery and overhead costs.
* Compliance: Ensure adherence to Health & Safety Legislation and Company Policy and Procedures regarding employee and customer safety.
* Additional Duties: Perform other duties as necessary to meet business requirements.
Requirements:
* Previous management experience essential, preferably in a busy Builder Providers or similar business.
* Strong commercial acumen.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve Branch targets and objectives.
