FUNCTION
We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy IT Assistant to support our business's technology needs. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day IT operations, provide technical support, and maintain the smooth functioning of our IT infrastructure. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
1. Technical Support:
o Respond to and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.
o Provide training and support to employees on IT tools and systems.
2. System Maintenance:
o Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers and other peripherals.
o Perform routine system updates, backups, and security checks.
3. Network Management:
o Monitor and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), Wi-Fi connections, and internet access.
o Assist in managing user access, permissions, and security protocols.
4. Software Management:
o Install and update business software applications.
o Maintain an inventory of software licenses and ensure compliance.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
o Keep records of IT assets, user requests, and resolutions.
o Assist in creating and maintaining IT policies and procedures.
6. Vendor Coordination:
o Liaise with external IT service providers for specialised support.
o Assist in sourcing IT equipment and software as needed.
IDEAL Candidate
Educations:
* Certifications (Optional): CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are a plus.
* Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field is ideal but not a requirement.
Experience:
* 2 years’ experience in similar roles is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in Windows systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business software.
* Basic understanding of networking principles, hardware troubleshooting, and cybersecurity best practices.
* Proficiency in MS Office is required.
* Knowledge of ISO27001 is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
* Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude.
* Keen interest in continuous self-development.
* Ability to work on multiple tasks and varying tasks on a daily basis.

Other info
Due to the nature of the role, a full driving licence and access to a car is a requirement. Additionally, remote working is not available given the job specific requirements.
