Our client provides a wide range of cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions for public, industrial, commercial, and agricultural customers working across both Ireland and Northern Ireland.
They are now looking to expand their team and are currently recruiting for the position of Contracts Manager.
This role focuses on overseeing the electrical and mechanical installation of renewable energy systems, with a strong emphasis on project management, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and adherence to safety standards. A proactive approach is essential to stay updated on industry advancements, contribute to business strategy development, and drive process improvements. The position also involves managing a team, fostering professional growth, ensuring the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and cultivating a collaborative, high-performing work environment through effective leadership and people management skills.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Project Management
* Plan resources for the electrical and mechanical installation of renewable energy systems.
* Lead and deliver projects successfully, ensuring alignment with key objectives.
* Monitor site progress and communicate project timelines and changes to all relevant parties.
* Implement best practices in project control, performance management, and reporting.
* Develop and maintain weekly and monthly operations schedules.
People Leadership & Management
* Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while ensuring adherence to company policies.
* Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that enhances productivity and morale.
* Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to review performance, set goals, and provide developmental feedback.
* Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate team effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
* Address performance and employee relations issues promptly and effectively.
* Support the recruitment and selection process by identifying and securing top talent.
* Ensure staff remain up to date with current legislation and training requirements to meet company objectives.
Compliance Management
* Conduct regular health and safety audits to ensure adherence to internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure the team receives all necessary training to perform tasks safely and effectively.
* Continuously monitor compliance processes, making adjustments as necessary to maintain effectiveness.
Finance & Budget Management
* Develop detailed budgets in collaboration with department and company leadership.
* Prepare comprehensive financial reports based on project status.
* Monitor project spending continuously, ensuring alignment with budget forecasts.
* Identify and investigate variances, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Business Development & General Management
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with health and safety requirements and legislation.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
* Monitor subcontractor performance and assess project requirements accordingly.
* Assist with any additional responsibilities as required within the scope of the role.
Experience & Qualifications
* Third Level Electrical/Mechanical engineering qualification or Snr. Trades
* 5 Years experience in Mechanical/Electrical services
* Project management of projects to a value of 5 million
* Experience in people management and development
* Strong understanding of EHS requirements and legislation
