Job Description
As a Maintenance Tool Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production stream. Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert support and maintenance services to maximize production efficiencies and minimize equipment downtime.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage a variable tool workload to meet/exceed key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as yield, throughput, productivity, and downtime.
* Take a proactive role in identifying, analyzing, and resolving production problems.
* Ensure optimal overall equipment performance (OEE) in each department and promote continuous improvement activities using lean manufacturing tools to achieve targets and cost savings.
* Develop and improve planned maintenance regimes to enhance equipment reliability.
* Support supervisors on technical issues and implement permanent, effective solutions to problems that arise.
* Lead project teams in the development, verification, validation, and submission of new processes, ensuring process capability and determining calibration requirements for tooling and test equipment.
* Resolve quality and technical issues to minimize their impact on product supply to customers.
* Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
* Maintain knowledge of new developments in maintenance practices and procedures to continuously improve maintenance standards.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Quality: Ensure the highest quality standards are met throughout the production process.
* Equipment Calibration: Perform regular equipment calibration to ensure precision and accuracy.
* TPM (Total Productive Maintenance): Implement TPM strategies to maximize equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
* Lean Manufacturing: Apply lean principles to eliminate waste and optimize production workflows.
* Other Activities: Perform other tasks assigned by the Production Manager or Operations Manager.
Required Skills
* Hand Tools: Proficiency in using hand tools, including wrenches, pliers, and screwdrivers.
* Welding: Expertise in welding techniques, including gas welding and brazing.
* Power Tools: Familiarity with power tools, such as drills and saws.
* Brazing: Experience in brazing and soldering techniques.
