Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Basic Grade Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our team.
Job Summary
This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves providing specialist care for adults with severe mental health needs, including Huntington's disease, Alzheimer's and schizophrenia.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for inpatient/day and outpatient services.
* Develop and implement individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients.
* Supervise and work collaboratively with Student/Trainee/Assistant Psychologists to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Pursue research initiatives, particularly in service evaluation, to inform best practices and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* A recognised third-level degree or diploma (QQ1 level 8 equivalent) with a major in psychology.
* A postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
* A minimum of five years post-graduate experience in professional psychology, with a focus on adult mental health/psychiatry of later life.
* Training in cognitive-behavioral therapy and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
* Qualifications validated by the Department of Health.
