Your new role
I am thrilled to have partnered with a leading Cyber Security firm in Dublin to assist them find an experienced and motivated IT Field Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
As a Field Engineer you will provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring optimal IT performance for our client’s based OUTSIDE of Dublin.
The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, must have their own vehicle and the flexibility to travel to different locations as needed.
What will you do?
1. Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks at client locations.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including connectivity, hardware failures, and software malfunctions.
3. Provide support for IT infrastructure, including servers, printers, and mobile devices.
4. Assist with network configuration, security settings, and system updates.
5. Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
6. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
7. Maintain detailed documentation of all service requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
8. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards for IT security and data protection.
9. Travel to client sites as required, sometimes on short notice.
Experienced required?
1. Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in IT support, field engineering, or a related role.
3. Strong knowledge of M365, Active Directory & Entra ID (AAD), Hardware & Software applications, server experience networking and troubleshooting methodologies.
4. Familiarity with cloud platforms, VPNs, and remote desktop tools.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong customer service and communication skills.
6. Valid clean driver's license and willingness to travel.
Nice to haves?
1. Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
2. Experience with IT asset management and ticketing systems.
3. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
