Job Description:
The company, Hays, is partnering with their client in the third sector to find an Assistant Project Supervisor for ongoing projects.
Project Overview:
An exciting large-scale development programme has been announced, set to run over the next five years.
The existing engineering and projects team will be enhanced by the addition of an Assistant Project Supervisor to assist with the implementation of this capital program.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Project Supervisor with the delivery of aprons, runways, taxiways, and car parks.
* Support the Project Supervisor on daily operations, dealing with specialist sub-contractors as the first point of contact on-site.
* Support the team with design, procurement, construction, delivery, and handover of the project.
* Ensure that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
Additional Duties:
* Monitor and interpret construction design drawings supplied by design engineers.
* Maintain communication between departments, including frequent briefings and accurate record keeping.
* Participate in quality control as per project requirements.
* Contribute to the maintenance of a culture of excellent health, safety, and environmental standards.
* Prepare reports as required.
* Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and assist in emergency incident management situations.
Requirements:
* Be well-presented and confident, in good health, with an excellent attendance record.
* Hold a minimum of Level 4 qualification in a relevant engineering/construction discipline, with CSCS, CSR, Safe Pass, or equivalent construction industry card.
* Have at least one year's experience in the construction sector, demonstrating experience as part of a project delivery team and record-keeping skills.
* Experience coordinating and supervising contractors/direct labor & trades.
* Working knowledge of The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM 2015).
* Working knowledge of software packages such as MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
* Problem-solving abilities, planning, and maintaining directions, experience working with other departments and teams.
* Effective communication and time management skills.
