Diabetes Care Kilkenny
Our new manufacturing facility in Kilkenny, opening in 2024, reflects the growing demand for Abbott's global Diabetes Care products. The facility will be a centre for world-class engineering, quality, medical device manufacturing, and other science-based professionals to produce life-changing technologies, including the FreeStyle Libre 3, a system that automatically delivers real-time, up-to-the-minute glucose readings, with the smallest and thinnest wearable glucose sensor that provides unsurpassed 14-day accuracy and optional glucose alarms directly to smartphones. This enables people with diabetes to live the best and fullest lives they can.

Purpose of the role:
To provide support to department leaders with monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc financial reports and analysis. Assist in the development of on-going and new financial management initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities:
1. The person will be a key member of the Finance Team, who will be responsible for the planning, preparation and analysis of the plants annual budget, forecasts and monthly financial reports.
2. Utilise Lean methodologies, KPI’s and Business Intelligence reporting to provide metrics & analysis to the business.
3. Perform detailed analysis to interpret and present financial data and key business metrics to stakeholders within the site and at Divisional level.
4. The role will also include involvement in ad hoc projects and providing support and assistance to the business
5. Managing the monthly and annual Capex reporting for the site
6. Analyse and translate data into key strategic inputs and insights to drive decision making
7. Assist in the production of detailed headcount reports
Qualifications:
8. A qualified accountant (with at least 3 years experience in FP&A or a similar role)
9. Excellent analytical skills
10. Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external business partners
11. Demonstrate strong Management Accounting knowledge
12. Experienced in budgeting in both P & L and Balance sheets and have a strong understanding of variance analysis and reporting
13. Detail-oriented with great organisational skills, and ability to provide key business insights
14. Top performer that is willing to dive into the details
15. Excellent SAP and Excel knowledge with BI reporting a strong advantage
