The Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting a BIM Technician to join our Digital Engineering department. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous BIM experience to work within the expeditious Geospatial industry. The successful applicant will be reporting to the BIM Manager and will be based out of or Dublin office initially, with the opportunity for remote/ hybrid working once established as a contributing member of the BIM Team. The ideal candidate will have experience with BIM workflows and integration of geospatial data such as laser scan & total station outputs.
What will I be doing in my new role?
Producing as-built 3D BIM models from surveyed point-cloud datasets
Utilising a range of software’s such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Dynamo and more
Coordination of models and federation of survey datasets from multiple sources
Quality assurance of models in accordance with Murphy Geospatial and industry-wide BIM standards
Liaising with project stakeholders such as clients, internal management, and our supply chain to ensure clear communication of project scope and model requirements
Actively contributing to the long-term development of the team and the Murphy Geospatial BIM standards and workflows
Requirements of the role:
At least 5 years’ experience working with Autodesk Revit in the construction, architectural, civil, landscape, or surveying sector
Strong Autodesk Revit skills along with awareness of related useful Add-Ins and External tools
Knowledge/experience of working with Dynamo
Knowledge/experience of collaboration through BIM360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud
Beneficial but not essential:
Knowledge/experience in other BIM authoring packages such as Graphisoft ArchiCAD, Bentley Systems, Synchro, or others
