About the RoleA leading company is seeking an On-Site Procurement & Storeroom Manager to oversee daily operations and act as the primary contact between the company, its vendors, and the customer.
This role involves managing an on-site team, ensuring key metrics are met, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to deliver cost savings and efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the main point of contact for all on-site activities, escalations, and operational issues.
Oversee procurement and storeroom functions, ensuring KPIs and service levels are met.
Work closely with customer teams across Procurement, EHS, Quality, Warehouse, and Engineering.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimize procurement outcomes.
Manage site inventory, ensuring stock levels align with forecasted needs while minimizing costs.
Track contract KPIs and generate reports on performance and cost savings.
Support supplier negotiations, performance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead and develop the on-site team, ensuring training and compliance with policies and procedures.
Handle escalations related to engineering spares and procurement issues.
Monitor and drive sales opportunities, applying margin management principles.
Ensure adherence to health & safety, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience RequiredExperience in procurement, account management, or a related role.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
ERP system knowledge is an advantage.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
A qualification in purchasing or supply chain management is desirable but not essential.
