Job Description
* As a key member of our team, you will lead a group of engineers across all aspects of new product development, including: process design, process characterization, technology development and advancement, automation, vendor and sub-tier supplier management, and project management.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, execute, and deliver on requirements in both pre-market and post-market phases.
* Identify and implement practical solutions to technical challenges using skills in project management, Six Sigma tools, process characterization, and technology development.
* Take the lead in process development, characterization, and validation activities to support new product introduction. Strong statistical capabilities are essential, as well as experience using design of experiments (DOE) and engineering studies. You will guide team members in developing engineering DOEs, transfer functions, and root cause analyses, while defining robust process windows.
* Drive innovation by leading a team to create best-in-class process technologies focused on improving quality, reducing variation, and developing advanced automated and semi-automated systems.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology and processes throughout the design lifecycle.
* Collaborate with team members on Design, Reliability, and Manufacturability (DRM) methodologies, and leverage tools such as 3D drawing/printing and augmented reality to develop cutting-edge solutions for manufacturing devices that positively impact millions in healthcare.
* Ensure all learnings are documented, shared, and presented to relevant project and functional teams.
Key Skills & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree (Level 8 or higher) in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, Science, or a related field.
* Experience in the design and development of electro-mechanical devices.
* Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a skilled team and work proactively on cross-functional projects.
* Strong understanding of product and process design.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
* Strong organizational, presentation, and project management skills.
