Job Description: Financial Accountant
This is a hybrid position based in our state-of-the-art Head Office in Maynooth, featuring an open-plan office with collaborative working areas, subsidized canteen, EV charging points, and easy access by car or public transport.
Main Responsibilities:
* Own a portfolio of entities within the group, including responsibility for completing month-end functions in preparation of accurate and timely management reports.
* Ensure revenue recognition on forward fund and construction contracts.
* Support the group reporting processes.
* Coordinate and participate in drafting single-entity financial statements.
* Participate in half-year and year-end reporting, including financial statement preparation.
* Liaise with internal and external auditors.
* Assist in preparing the annual report, coordinating and responding to internal audit reviews, and maintaining and updating the risk register.
* Support annual and quarterly budgeting and reforecasting processes.
* Collaborate with departments across the business to provide informative analysis on margin, overhead, and capex variances.
* Review and enhance processes to streamline financial reporting and improve controls.
Requirements:
* Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA).
* 'Big 4' trained.
* Experience in the construction industry is a bonus.
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Solver is an advantage.
* Ability to work across multiple workstreams and meet strict deadlines.
* Self-motivated and solution-driven.
