Role Overview
As a GP at our practice, you will provide comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team including nurses, administrative staff, and allied health professionals. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a friendly, progressive practice in one of Ireland's most scenic and welcoming counties.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide day-to-day clinical care to patients including consultations, chronic disease management, and preventative care
2. Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to best practices in clinical documentation
3. Participate in on-call rota (if applicable)
4. Collaborate with practice staff to ensure seamless, high-quality patient care
5. Contribute to clinical meetings, audits, and practice development initiatives
Essential Requirements
1. Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC)
2. MRCGP, MICGP, or equivalent qualification
3. Valid professional indemnity insurance
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
5. Commitment to patient-centred care and ongoing professional development
Desirable
1. Experience working in rural or community-based settings
2. Familiarity with Irish primary care systems (e.g., GMS, Healthlink, etc.)
3. Special interests (e.g., women’s health, minor surgery, paediatrics) are welcomed and supported
