Haleon is recruiting for a Manufacturing Line Lead.
The purpose of the Manufacturing Line Lead role is to develop and lead a team of operators to consistently deliver outstanding safety, quality, service, and value.
This role is crucial in ensuring that the business strategy is executed through an engaged, motivated, and capable team.
The role will ensure that our site maintains the highest standards in Environment, Health, Safety, and Wellness (EHSW) and Quality while achieving production objectives.
Responsibilities: EHS Responsibilities– All Associates Know, understand, and comply with all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines.
Report unsafe conditions, all injuries, illnesses, and hazardous materials releases.
Wear personal protective equipment, attend EHS training programs, and follow all safe work procedures.Quality Responsibilities– All Associates Adhere to all Quality Compliance standards (Data Integrity, QA, QC, etc.)
including QMS policy and regulatory requirements.Job Responsibilities: Compliance: Ensure compliance with EHS, cGMP, and Quality standards.
Conduct safety and quality investigations as needed.
Lead by example in adhering to company SOPs.
Project Management: Develop and present business cases to support strategic initiatives.Perform detailed analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.Lead automation projects to enhance operational efficiency.Manage operations simplification projects to streamline processes.Conduct capacity modeling and optimize production scheduling.Implement changeover reduction projects using SMED principles.Flexibility to work in shifts as and when required in leading manufacturing operations.Full leadership of a team of operators within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) production environment, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, compliance, and output standards.Process Management: Establish and confirm standards (4M's: Material, Manpower, Method, Measurement) for managing safety, quality, and output.
Use Haleon systems (SAP, Pas-X, CH Pack, Workday) for batch reconciliation, cycle count, material movements, confirmation, and inventory control.
Performance Management: Use tools for problem-solving and performance management.
Drive real-time issue identification, resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Talent Development: Identify and develop key talent within the team, ensuring regular development plans are executed.
Set performance expectations and provide regular feedback.
Resource Management: Oversee task assignment, staffing, and recruitment efforts.
Ensure resources are aligned with production needs and maintain production continuity during shift changes and breaks.
Lead and implement improvement projects, managing scope, schedule, and cost, while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Budget Management: Understand and manage the budget for the Manufacturing area, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Required Skills Sets & Experience: Bachelor of Engineering.3–5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing or packaging environment, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, Medical devices, FMCH, FMCG).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and presentation abilities.Proven track record in business case creation and project management.Experience with capacity modeling and production scheduling optimization.Familiarity with SMED principles and their application in changeover reduction projects.Experience in Maintenance/Engineering function and or TPM would be an added advantage.Computer knowledge (Excel, Word, Power Point).Understanding of Root Cause Analysis.Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to lead teams through change and drive continuous improvement.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.Requires physical activities such as bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.Attendance required during unusual working hours, shifts and schedules.Preferred additional Qualifications: MBA - Finance/Supply ChainCare to join us.
