The Role:
The Deputy Hotel Manager will support the Hotel Manager in the day-to-day operations for all areas of the hotel as well as motivating and leading all staff, build and maintain relationships with guests while providing uncompromised standards and quality throughout all areas of the business.
A key objective of the role, in conjunction with the Hotel Manager, will be to review all existing standards and processes across all departments and make adjustments as required to enhance and improve the overall guest experience.
The Person:
We are seeking candidates who have excellent People Skills, suited to a country Hotel and local business with an interest in community engagement. Strong Rooms and F&B Management skills with experience of rostering, budgets, Labour Management, P&L's and forecasting. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends, professional in appearance and presentation and possess the ability to come with solutions not problems.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience at HOD management level would be a significant advantage.

The Castle Oaks House Hotel and Estate is a stunning Georgian House built in the late eighteenth century. Located in the picturesque village of Castleconnell, just 5 minutes from the M7 motorway, our Georgian House is set in 26 acres of beautiful mature gardens & woodlands that lead down to the banks of the River Shannon. The Hotel boosts a combination of 20 Bedrooms in the Georgian House, 20 Courtyard Suites and a newly renovated leisure centre.

Deputy Hotel Manager Responsibilities:
* Oversee all hotel departments, focusing on Rooms and F&B operations.
* Support Heads of Department to ensure smooth daily operations.
* Optimise staff productivity, schedules, and rotas.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
* Lead and coach department heads, fostering professionalism and development.
* Implement and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Manage finances, stock levels, and supplier relations.
* Work with Sales and Marketing to boost local F&B and event sales.
* Ensure staff health and safety training and a positive workplace culture.
* Monitor customer satisfaction, address feedback, and maintain high standards.
* Manage costs to align with revenue goals.
