Job Title: HGV and Car Mechanics
We are seeking skilled HGV and Car Mechanics to join our team on a permanent basis at our Dublin location. As a qualified mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles and plant equipment.
Responsibilities:
* Vehicle and plant fault diagnosis
* Preventative maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant, and premises
* All tasks associated with the mechanical systems, electrical systems, and body systems of vehicles
* Operate garage equipment
* Maintain vehicle lubrication points and change vehicle oils
* Undertake all tasks provided for in the Productivity Agreements EGRP02.4 HR – August
* Report any vehicle defects observed to supervisor
* Maintain clean and efficient workshop
* Undertake roadside repair and recovery of vehicles
Qualification Requirements:
* National Craft Certificate for the trade of Heavy/light Vehicle Mechanic awarded by SOLAS/Department of Education following the successful completion of a recognised SOLAS apprenticeship OR
* Advanced Certificate – Craft awarded by FETAC following the successful completion of a recognised SOLAS apprenticeship
Driving Licence Requirements:
* A Valid Category B Irish Driving Licence - held for a minimum of 2 years OR
* A Valid Full Category D Irish Driving licence
Other Requirements:
* Be over 21 years old (to comply with D licence regulation)
* Fluent spoken and written English
* Applicants must be available to work shifts, including nights, weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts depending on staffing requirements
