We’re currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an award-winning Pharmaceutical organization based in Meath. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do.
This role will be responsible for contributing to the overall running of the MS&T Bioprocess Laboratory and working across site as part of a diverse and interdisciplinary team to build capability and knowledge in the manufacture of biologics.
Key responsibilities of the MS&T Scientist include:
1. Planning and executing analytical testing to support USP-DSP scale-down model establishments, satellite runs, and investigation/improvement studies in the MS&T lab.
2. Planning and executing DSP laboratory studies (i.e. chromatography runs, filter assessments).
3. Supporting the transfer of analytical methods into the MS&T laboratory.
4. Providing specialist analytical support to the site and the network for non-routine analysis and troubleshooting.
5. Experimental design, execution, data analysis, and interpretation.
6. Authoring and reviewing standard operating procedures and technical reports.
7. Supporting multidisciplinary teams (MS&T, quality, analytics, regulatory) for process improvement and troubleshooting.
8. Assuring effective application of Lean SixSigma and Change Management tools in the Analytical Sciences group.
9. Serving as an analytical specialist during internal audits and external inspections/audits.
10. Supporting alignment and knowledge exchange with development organizations, other commercial nodes, and external manufacturing partners.
11. Leading and coaching others to solve problems and take new perspectives on existing solutions with a desire to continuously learn, improve, and develop.
12. Demonstrating excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills as well as influencing, collaboration skills, and teamwork ability to represent MS&T on global and interdisciplinary teams.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
1. Bachelor of Science degree qualification.
2. 3-5 years of experience ideally in a manufacturing, preferably GMP setting.
3. Technical expertise with biologics drug substance upstream and downstream operations, analytical testing, process development, and tech transfer.
