Software systems engineer

Meta is seeking a Software Systems Engineer with expertise in building distributed systems at scale. Our team designs and develops software services and systems solutions to deliver high-quality hardware validation for every Open Compute Project (OCP) rack and server deployed worldwide.


Job Description

You will collaborate with our design, hardware validation, production, capacity, and performance engineering teams to create and implement scalable solutions operating on production lines and lab environments. In this role, you will lead the feature and architecture roadmap of an end-to-end set of solutions spanning provisioning, scheduling, and analytics.


Responsibilities

* Work with our global team to refine the product feature and architecture roadmap.
* Interface with partners to assist in troubleshooting and debugging.
* Define and develop hardware abstraction libraries used for development of hardware validation tests.
* Define and develop User Interfaces to support manufacturing and repair workflows.
* Lead enhancements of automation for continuous integration, release, and configuration management across global sites.
* Design and develop provisioning solutions that scale across various hardware platforms.


Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Experience developing and implementing scalable distributed systems and/or manufacturing platform solutions.
* Experience operating in Linux/Unix environments with knowledge of networking and network boot.
* Proven project management skills and demonstrated experience translating technical terminology.
