The F5 NGINX Business Unit is searching for a Software Engineer to join us in Cork, Ireland.
This role is focused on creating solutions to a wide variety of technical challenges with varying scopes & complexities, while independently designing, implementing, and testing new functionality as you collaborate with your peers and technical leads.
In this role, you will be developing Cloud Native products to control and secure some of the leading applications and websites in the world, using Kubernetes, along with virtualization and containerization technologies, to support NGINX products designed for the next generation (and beyond) of cloud and container environments.
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with your team to design, code, and test robust, scalable, loosely coupled components which integrate into containerized environments.
* Consistently apply forward-thinking software design, implementation, and test principles.
* Focus efforts to optimize on-time delivery of features and fixes with high quality.
* Work in an agile environment that enables development teams to iterate rapidly.
Qualifications:
* Outstanding coding abilities with languages like Go and Python.
* Strong experience with container technologies using Docker and Kubernetes.
* Detailed understanding of web technologies (e.g., HTTP, REST, JSON).
* Strong grasp of cloud technologies (both public and private, such as AWS, Azure, or VMware vSphere).
* Good knowledge of Linux services, runtime, and scripting.
* Superlative analytical as well as troubleshooting skills.
* A dynamic collaborator who thrives in a diverse, geographically distributed team.
* Strong teamwork abilities which include diplomacy, and promotion of sound ideas & concepts, paired with the desire to help others grow their skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Bachelor’s or advanced degree; and/or equivalent work experience.
* 4+ years of experience in relevant roles.
