Family Worker - Bail Supervision Scheme Limerick - RO46/0/24/IV-1
Salary : Grade 5 Scale, €44,888 per annum pro rata plus on-Call allowance applies
Hours: hrs per week inclusive of paid breaks (flexibility required). Typical hours per day will be 7hrs 30 mins. Available to work irregular hours including evenings and occasional weekends. On call rota applies.
Contract Status : Fixed Term for 12 months
Location : Watch House Cross, Parteen Road, Limerick
About The Service
The Bail Supervision Scheme (BSS) is an alternative to the detention of young people available to the children's court. The BSS provides intensive supports for family members, and the young person with the focus on improving education/training opportunities and pro-social outcomes, whilst decreasing re-offending behaviours.
About The Role
Extern's Family Workers support the families of these young people at risk of entering the Youth Justice Detention System.
The Service uses Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST), as an evidence based model of practice, as the intervention of families and seeks to support the young person's lasting behavioural changes, promoting positive social behaviours
Formal MST Training, support and supervision will be provided to successful candidates on the commencement of this role
