Head Butcher - Co. Galway
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head Butcher to join our team in Co. Galway.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for butchery, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage the Meat Department to ensure efficient and effective operation at all times.
* Provide customers with high-quality products and services.
* Communicate range changes, offers, and new initiatives to the team.
Key Requirements:
* 2 years' experience in a Supervisor/Manager role (desirable).
* 2 years' experience as a Butcher.
* Craft Butchery course (desirable).
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
* Numerical skills.
* Experience in gross profit and margins (desirable).
* Creative.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Able to engage with and prioritise customer needs.
* Strong attention to detail, organised, and flexible.
* Able to use own initiative and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Main Duties:
* Live the brand-values.
* Maintain retail cuts at a high standard following customer needs.
* Drive sales through KPI reports, financial reports, brand initiatives, customer initiatives, and employee knowledge.
* Adhere to weekly stocktaking procedures.
* Implement planograms correctly and ensure the correct range is in place in store.
* Attend and engage in weekly management meetings and bring learnings back to the team.
* Ensure staff are competent in duties required and receive adequate training relevant to tasks.
* Enhance product knowledge by gaining information from sources and sharing ideas, suggestions, and builds on existing procedures/processes with employees and management.
* Merchandise and present the department to the highest standard at all times.
* Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.
