As a Linux and BSP, Multimedia Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, optimizing, triaging and supporting multimedia functionalities for embedded systems. You'll be responsible for developing, supporting maintaining Board Support Packages (BSP) on Linux platforms, ensuring seamless integration of multimedia components, and enhancing system performance.
Key job responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and maintain Linux BSPs for multimedia-enabled embedded systems.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize multimedia functionalities within BSPs.
3. Customize and configure Linux kernels, drivers, and modules for specific hardware platforms.
4. Support the Factory tasks to ensure the fast turnaround for solving assembly line issues.
5. Triage and fix issues that occur during the integration and production phases of the products.
6. Debug and resolve issues related to multimedia components, drivers, and system integration.
7. Optimize system performance, including boot time, power consumption, and resource utilization.
8. Conduct feasibility studies and performance analysis for new multimedia features and technologies.
9. Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and user guides.
10. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in multimedia technologies and Linux development.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
* 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
* 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
* Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
