The Role
1. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
2. Process purchase and sales invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely entry into the accounting system.
3. Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts.
4. Monitor accounts payable and receivable, addressing discrepancies as they arise.
5. Handle petty cash and expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies.
6. Support payroll processing, including timesheet verification for construction site staff.
7. Assist in VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks.
8. Provide administrative support to the finance department, including filing, data entry, and maintaining financial records.
Requirements
1. A degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Prior experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
4. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
5. Good communication skills to liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
