Key Responsibilities:
This role provides key support to the Financial Reporting team with accounting for EU activities, delivering a high standard of financial reporting and internal control framework. This includes ensuring correct accounting treatment and enabling process improvements as required within Financial Reporting, to support a complex, fast-changing and growing organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Primarily responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely recording of operations for the Ireland subsidiary, and the group’s commercial supply chain activity.
2. Responsible for accounting for the movement of goods and reconciling back to third-party consignment stock balances.
3. Supporting on Order-to-cash activities, working with the distributors and recording their fees, services and discounts where applicable.
4. Overseeing the intercompany process including accounting entries and effective implementation of transfer pricing agreements.
5. Responsible for associated SOX controls across financial reporting ensuring they are fit for purpose.
6. Supporting and working with the General Manager (IRE) to ensure compliance of the Ireland subsidiary from a financial perspective.
7. Enabling continuous process improvements and simplification across Finance.
8. Assisting with quarterly and annual SEC reporting, statutory reporting and interim month end.
9. Other activities include ownership of balance sheet reconciliations and adhoc support and analysis of one-off transactions.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience & Knowledge:
Essential:
1. Qualified accountant, PQE 2+ years
2. Demonstrated experience working to tight month-end deadlines.
3. Solid financial accounting knowledge, both IFRS & US GAAP.
4. Experience with inventory accounting and supply chain.
5. Experience of ERP systems, NetSuite an advantage.
6. Experience with SOX Control environment.
7. Ability to liaise confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
8. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
Desirable:
1. Experience working in a Pharma industry, or other regulated industry.
2. External reporting experience and good understanding of statutory accounts.
3. Project management experience.
