The Public Engagement team is responsible for the development and implementation of our overall approach to engagement on our transmission projects with communities, landowners, local government, local stakeholders, and consenting bodies.
Cuspóir an Róil/ Job Purpose
We are seeking a Community Liaison Officer to join our Public Engagement team. As the Community Liaison Officer, you will facilitate engagement with local communities and stakeholders to seek their views and feedback as we seek to develop Ireland's national grid. When we work together with local communities, we can create a stronger and better electricity grid with the least possible impact on an area. “Engaging for the Better Outcomes for All” is a fundamental key pillar of our transformation of the power system.
Saineolas, Scileanna agus Taithí / Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Educated to degree level (business, social sciences, community development or relevant qualification) with typically a minimum of 4 years relevant experience.
* High level communication and engagement skills essential for this role.
* Enjoy working with people and as part of a collaborative team.
* Understanding of civil society organizations and the field of participatory governance.
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal, experience in writing and documenting of meetings and workshops, guides and technical material.
* Advanced computer skills, particularly MS Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
* Well-organised, resourceful with good planning and problem-solving abilities and capable of responding to challenging situations.
* A team player, flexible, quick-thinking and able to work well under pressure.
* Full driving licence required.
* Must be available to work evenings as required in order to facilitate community needs.
* Previous experience of working on corporate social responsibility initiatives.
