Junior Buyer Role
We are seeking a Junior Buyer to assist with sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials for various projects across the island of Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with raising purchase orders, monitoring order statuses, and managing lead times to meet production schedules.
* Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
* Handle basic queries and updates regarding order status, delivery schedules, and stock availability.
* Maintain accurate inventory records and identify stock replenishment needs.
* Pursue quotes, perform price comparisons, and evaluate cost-effective purchasing options.
* Review contracts and purchase agreements with suppliers to ensure adherence to terms and conditions.
* Track all orders and resolve any issues related to delays, shortages, or discrepancies.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in administrative or purchasing roles is advantageous but not essential.
* Experience in the Construction, Mechanical, or similar industries is desirable but not essential.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) is essential.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, along with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
