We now have a fantastic new opportunity for an Events Manager to join our Sales team and contribute to the future success of Killashee Hotel.
Objective of the Role
The Events Manager will be responsible for the smooth running of all conferences and events in the hotel and ensure that our guests experience the highest quality service at meetings and events. This is an office-based job that will liaise with the operational team to ensure smooth delivery of service on the day of the event.
Main Duties:
1. Provide information, quotations, proposals, and contracts to all customers in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Assist with meeting and exceeding customer expectations both over the phone and in person.
3. Respond to all sales inquiries as soon as possible (email, phone, walk-in).
4. Negotiate packages; confirm meeting room sales.
5. Manage client expectations and always go above and beyond.
6. Handle all customer inquiries and complaints in accordance with the hotel's expectations, ensuring that guests are satisfied when they leave.
7. Promote events and weddings actively within the hotel in order to maximize sales opportunities.
8. Keep an eye out for competitors, packages, products, and marketing.
9. Perform daily office administration duties.
10. Sales responsibilities include showing potential customers around the hotel and upselling every department, as well as looking for new business opportunities through cold calling, telephone sales, mail shots, and other methods.
11. People management including motivating, training, and providing feedback to the team of 3 events executives.
Key Requirements:
* 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong presentation skills.
* Self-motivated and have a positive attitude.
* Passionate about hospitality and excellent service.
* Effective sales skills to up-sell products and services.
* Strong interpersonal, leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
