Senior Manager Cost Accounting - Healthcare. Onsite at our offices in Athenry
Meet the team:
Our Finance Team is looking for the right teammate to support the start-up of our new site in Athenry. As a Senior Cost Accounting Manager, you will collaborate closely with all departments to support business objectives and drive financial performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for the site’s adherence to Dexcom’s Costing & Inventory accounting standards, analyzing costs and evaluating financial data to support management in making informed decisions.
Where you come in:
* Support risk management and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and policies (SOX, GAAP).
* Lead the Standard Costing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
* Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to cost accounting, including Standard Costing variance analysis.
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial metrics and KPIs.
* Partner with business units to evaluate potential investments, projects, and operational changes.
* Conduct cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of financial reporting and analysis.
* Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Oversee the work of the management accounting team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
* Assume and perform other duties as assigned.
What makes you successful:
* Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; an accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) is required.
* A minimum of 10 years of experience in management accounting within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.
* Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis; experience with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
* Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience and Education Requirements:
* Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 13+ years of industry experience.
* 5-8 years of previous people management experience.
