This exciting opportunity is site-based in Dublin, offering a chance to drive the organisation's strategic environmental agenda across multiple active sites.
As a key member of the Construction & Operations function, the Environmental Manager will report to the Senior EHS Manager and play a pivotal role in ensuring environmental excellence across the business.
Responsibilities for Environmental Manager (Hybrid) Provide expert guidance and leadership on construction environmental matters, engaging with management and staff across the organisation.
Deliver programmes, projects, and initiatives to meet strategic environmental targets and goals.
Ensure regulatory compliance while influencing the regulatory environment through active participation.
Foster a culture of best practice and continuous improvement in environmental performance, implementing proactive measures on-site.
Manage internal and external environmental resources effectively.
Collaborate with the supply chain and vendors to enhance environmental and sustainability performance.
Monitor and improve resource use on-site, focusing on waste reduction, reuse, and recycling.
Govern and oversee Article 27 and 28 material movements.
Advise on emerging sustainability legislation, policy, and industry trends, recommending risk mitigation strategies.
Represent the organisation on industry committees and liaise with representative bodies regarding environmental matters.
Requirements for Environmental Manager (Hybrid) 5-7 years' experience in Environmental Management or a senior equivalent role.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficient in implementing Environmental Management Systems to ISO 14001 standards.
Experience in biodiversity, ecology, and environmental coordination (EcoW).
Strong knowledge of construction waste management regulations and best practices for noise, dust, and vibration.
Expertise in preservation and mitigation measures for SPA, SAC, and nHA areas.
Familiarity with CSRD requirements and ESG responsibilities, with an innovative approach to addressing these.
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently.
Knowledge of sustainability reporting standards.
