Matrix Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Production Team Leader for our client based in County Cavan who specialises in the Manufacturing industry. The Production Team Leader, reporting into the production Supervisor will ensure that their team operates at maximum efficiency, in line with production requirements, while always prioritising safety and quality. They will oversee both people and production management, ensuring a safe, clean, and organised working environment. The Team Leader will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring clear communication between team members and management to meet operational goals.
This is a permanent, Monday – Friday position, with alternating Day (6am – 2pm) & Evening shifts (2pm – 10pm).

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Safety & Quality Focus: Ensure adherence to Health & Safety procedures, quality standards, and 5S housekeeping to maintain a safe and organised work environment.
* Production & Problem-Solving: Follow production schedules, proactively identify and resolve issues, and drive performance to meet and exceed targets through effective planning and cross-training.
* People Leadership: Engage, motivate, and communicate with operators, manage time & attendance, holidays, and maintain discipline in safety, quality, and performance.
* Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate with key departments (Design, Logistics, Quality, etc.) to address issues promptly and ensure smooth operations and target achievement.
What are we looking for?
* 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment in a leadership role with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
* Strong awareness of safety, quality, and the importance of on-time delivery.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage others.
* Proactive, forward-thinking, and solution-focused approach to challenges.
