As a Payload System Characterization Integration and RF-Test Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to integrate and test the Kuiper-Modem.
You will work closely with colleagues throughout Project Kuiper's to integrate ASIC, HW, RF, and SW in one single product solution.
You will be part of the lifecycle of the development and deployment of the final integrated product.
As a member of Kuiper Payload System Characterization team, you will be responsible for integrating the various subsystems RF, modem, SW-stack, etc.
to build the product.
During this process you will be conducting tests, validating each sub-system functionalities and optimizing the end-to-end system behavior.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities:
Integrating various communication Modem functionalities into a single system; from RF (air-interface) to the top layer of the communication stackSpecifying and defining test plans to cover the system functionalities with its diverse use casesBuilding various test beds to enable system testing; e.g., setups of antenna, modem, measurement equipment, etc.Configuring test equipment for automated operation: satellite link emulator, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.Interpreting test results, troubleshooting issues, performing root-cause analysis for any test failuresSpecifying with other teams, the various KPIs and metrics required to span the whole system characterizationBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
