Finance Manager
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to join a dynamic Transport and Logistics business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will take full ownership of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements.
* Oversee and manage the finance and administration team.
* Liaise with external auditors and prepare audit documentation.
* Monitor and report on financial performance, costs, and budget variances.
* Lead forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes.
* Manage accounts payable, receivable, and tax compliance.
* Oversee month-end processes, including reconciliations, payroll, and fixed asset management.
* Provide financial insights and reporting for senior management and board meetings.
Key Requirements
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven post-qualification experience.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with financial and non-financial stakeholders.
* Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
* Experience working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
