Ayrton Group are seeking a HSE Advisor to join our client, a leading Electrical Engineering group, on their Pharmaceutical project in the Dublin region.
The HSE Advisor will assist in ensuring strict adherence to the client Safety Management System and advising on overall compliance in matters of Health & Safety in accordance with client policies and relevant statutory provisions.
This is an initial 12-month contract role with the strong potential for further extension, commencing in early 2025.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure adherence to relevant Environmental, Health & Safety related statutory provisions & legislation.
* Ensure adherence to Company Management system. Company is ISO accredited to 9001, 14001 & 45001.
* Assist in the development of project specific HSE documents in conjunction with the project management team (Plans, RAMS etc).
* Assist in the coordination of project HSE indicators.
* Carry out regular site HSE audits and inspection, document results and follow up on any corrective actions.
* Assist or carry out accident/incident/near-miss investigation reports in a timely manner & ensure communication to project and group management.
* Ensure Environmental, Sustainability, Waste reduction & recycling programmes are maintained in line with company policies & procedures.
* Liaise with site Project Management on environmental, health & safety issues.
* Ensure that best practices in HSE are promoted & maintained at all times.
* Ensure records of statutory inspections are available for project activities.
* Adopt a Proactive approach to project HSE requirements.
* Assist with induction & training as required.
Key Requirements:
* Relevant third level qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.
* 2+ year’s experience of on-site Safety roles on construction sites.
* Previous experience of working on Pharmaceutical projects is desirable.
* An Electrical/Engineering background or experience working for M&E companies is desirable.
* Thorough knowledge of current HSE related legislation & regulations for Ireland.
* Ability to efficiently manage all HSE issues on the project you have responsibility for.
* Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills to lead a team.
* Strong computer skills required.
* Proficient in English both written & spoken.
