Matrix Recruitment are recruiting for our client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, who is seeking a Project Manager to support the delivery of a global change project.
This role involves regulatory and compliance oversight, strategic stakeholder engagement, and operational execution in a fast-paced, international environment as well as the management of sub-custodian and market information to clients, investment managers and partners.
Previous experience working in and a strong understanding of the role of a global custodian and back-office settlement services are a strong advantage.
This role is based in Limerick and offers a hybrid working model. It is initially a contract up until December 2025 with the expectation of being extended until mid-2026.
Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:
1. Lead the delivery of a global project, ensuring alignment with regulatory, compliance, and risk frameworks.
2. Develop and manage detailed project plans, track milestones, and oversee change control processes.
3. Establish and maintain project governance structures, including steering committees and working groups.
4. Coordinate and manage contractual arrangements with third-party service providers, supporting negotiations as required.
5. Facilitate the setup of new accounts and support the transition of assets and operational processes.
6. Ensure timely and accurate completion of regulatory and oversight reporting with external providers.
7. Manage the Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance process.
8. Implement and maintain robust reporting tools to ensure project transparency and accountability.
What are we looking for?
1. Strong understanding of asset servicing, the role of a global custodian, custody operations, or back-office settlement services.
2. Proven track record of delivering large-scale transformation or transition projects.
3. Familiarity with formal project delivery methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, SAFe, APM).
4. Experience using traceability matrix or project mapping tools (WBS/PBS).
5. Solid knowledge of market infrastructures including Swift messaging, settlements, entitlements, cash and capital market processing.
6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, build consensus, and resolve conflicts.
7. Comfortable collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure end-to-end project delivery.
8. Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and facilitation capabilities.
