Key Responsibilities
1. Complete on-site surveys to plan and design cost effective projects, enabling construction and provision of Fibre connectivity to our client’s business and residential customer base.
2. Survey of proposed fibre connections to include duct & cable routes and equipment location.
3. Survey of engineering difficulties such as bridges, culverts and railway crossings and provide method statements as required.
4. Survey the ESBN OH Network as required to provide engineering solutions to the Fibre Network Planners.
5. Identify areas of network congestion and put forward integrated network solutions to resolve.
6. Compile data capture information from surveys into format to present to fibre network planners.
7. Provide full estimate of project materials and labour costs.
8. Produce working documentation and works instructions.
9. Produce Bills of Materials.
10. Evaluate Health & Safety and produce appropriate documentation.
11. Negotiate and communicate with Developers and other utility undertakers.
12. Negotiate and communicate with internal departments and external customers.
13. Input ‘As-built’ records of the network build.

Qualifications and Skills
Qualifications
* SIRO Level 1 UG Certification desired
* Location of Underground Services (LUGs)
* Full clean driving license
Knowledge
* Experience in surveying / GPS capturing.
* Thorough knowledge of Local Authorities Road-works codes of practice.
* Understanding of ESBN Infrastructure
* Map reading of utility drawings
* Possess strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office and GIS applications.
* Understanding of the residential construction industry.
