Job Description: IT Manager
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team in South County Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 10+ skilled IT professionals and managing the IT department to provide excellent service to the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the IT department, providing an excellent level of service to the organisation in line with business needs and industry best practice.
* Lead and manage a team of 10+ skilled IT professionals, including various team leads.
* Control a multi-functional IT department, making decisions on day-to-day and long-term business objectives.
* Communicate with senior management and business stakeholders on all IT matters.
* Liaise with other departments to assess their IT needs and devise solutions.
* Plan the implementation of new solutions and provide guidance to the IT team and managed service partners.
* Ensure the integration and smooth running of Website, ERP, WMS systems.
* Manage all elements of ICT service delivery, ensuring a fully functional, reliable, and secure ICT environment.
* Develop and implement IT strategy in support of the company's mission and strategic objectives.
* Negotiate service level agreements with vendors and manage them to ensure agreed targets and standards are met.
* Prepare and implement policies, procedures, and standards relating to IT systems and services.
* Overall responsibility for IT Security & Disaster Recovery.
* Manage the IT Budget, prioritising spend in line with company objectives.
* Project management (Infrastructure rollout/consolidation/upgrade projects).
* Participate in process improvement initiatives across the business.
Requirements:
* Proven IT Management experience, including 10+ years IT experience, with strong emphasis on people management.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, enhance, support, and develop an IT team of 10+ staff.
* Strong stakeholder and communication management skills.
* Project Management skills and experience in using structured project management frameworks.
* Good business process knowledge and proven experience in using technology to improve efficiency.
* Strong vendor management and relationship management skills.
* Strong understanding of INFOSEC requirements and cyber security.
* Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communications skills.
* Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives and managing complex IT projects.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to think strategically and execute operationally.
* Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex and challenging situations.
* Ability to identify potential partnerships, evaluate their value, and develop a plan to establish and grow the partnership.
* Experience in maintaining and testing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
* Awareness of Data Protection legislation and its impact on ICT.
* IT qualification and experience: Bachelor or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISM, PRINCE II). A minimum of 10+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 7 years in a leadership role.
