The Role
We are seeking a Customer Experience Manager to lead and support a team in delivering outstanding shopping experiences for our customers. This role will report to the Deputy Manager and focus on:
* Creating a welcoming environment for colleagues and customers
* Managing change operations, checkout processes, and equipment
* Ensuring store operations run smoothly when the Store Manager or Deputy Manager is absent
* Training and validating team members in their roles
* Fostering a culture of two-way communication, trust, and open dialogue
* Counseling and managing colleagues to achieve daily priorities
* Reviewing reports and systems to drive improvements for customers and colleagues
* Driving a zero-food-waste culture, managing date codes, and reducing food waste
* Recruiting passionate colleagues who share our customer-centric approach
* Understanding cleaning specifications and leading by example to ensure high standards
* Managing stock control activities, warehouse layout, and processes for efficient operations
* Root-causing price discrepancies, overcharges, refunds, and label issues
* Managing front-end operations to minimize queue times
* Recognizing excellent service and providing constructive feedback where necessary
Requirements
To succeed as a Customer Experience Manager, you must have:
* A proven track record of delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced retail environment
* Adaptability and agility in your thinking
* The ability to shape and influence at the most senior level
* Previous retail experience in a similar role is preferred
