About Us:
We are a small kitchen-fitting business that specializes in fitting both kitchens and wardrobes, mainly as part of housing developments. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Bookkeeper / Office Assistant to support the day-to-day operations and help keep things running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
* Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording invoices, receipts, and expenses.
* Prepare and process customer invoices and track outstanding payments.
* Reconcile bank statements.
* Keep accurate records of financial transactions in accounting software (QuickBooks Online).
* Prepare VAT returns and RTDs.
Administrative Support:
* Manage general office correspondence, including keeping track of emails and communicating with the owner regarding relevant emails.
* Assist with the preparation and submission of quotes or estimates for clients.
* Maintain organized filing systems (both digital and physical).
Skills & Experience
* Experience and knowledge in bookkeeping, primarily using QuickBooks Online to keep track of supplier invoices, customer invoices, and bank statements, as well as the ability to file VAT returns bimonthly.
* High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Good communicator with the ability to keep channels open between different members of the business.
* Comfortable using technology such as Microsoft Office Suite, among other applications.
Other Notes:
* We have accountants that will handle any major accounting issues, such as payroll, and they are available to answer any questions that may arise during the normal course of business. However, it is expected that VAT returns and the use of QuickBooks to record any transactions will be done by the candidate.
* This job is fully flexible in terms of hours and days worked, as long as the majority of work is done between 8-6 Monday to Friday.
* There is also the opportunity to work from home if it suits the candidate, but a few hours a week to liaise with the owner may be expected.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: €15.00-€18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
