Responsibilities:
* As a Commodity manager, you should have an entrepreneurial mindset based on commercial knowledge and familiarity of commodity markets.
* You will be responsible for a defined direct material field, including the pooling and procurement of commodities, developing and implementing commodity strategies, interacting with suppliers and cross-functions to ensure the resilience & sustainability of our supply chain.
* You will drive the advancement of the supplier base to support the growing demand at manufacturing locations for Clinical Laboratory Solutions.
* You are expected to perform end to end supplier risk management to ensure delivery, quality and cost targets are achieved today and, in the future.
* You will act as focal point between sourcing, manufacturing operations, quality & engineering and lead cross-functional projects.
* On an ongoing basis, you will interact with our management and align on demand pooling, price negotiations and global commodity strategy.
Minimum Requirements:
* BS/BA in related discipline QQI level 8
* Master’s degree or MBA is a plus
* Minimum of 8 years professional experience in related field, preferably in FDA controlled environment
* Expertise in commodities sourced for medical devices
* Willing to travel up to 20%
* You are analytical and structured in your problem-solving approach.
* You are a seasoned negotiator and contributor to the business’ profitability.
* You have a proven ability to drive assignments to full implementation in collaboration with cross-functional partners (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality)
* You are experienced in supplier capacity, process, and capability assessment and able to identify improvement potentials.
