Core tasks and responsibilities:
• Deliver technical support to the manufacturing and testing of medical device instrumentation.
• Deliver technical solutions to enhance product reliability and process capability.
• Work within a dynamic engineering change environment; actively supporting New Product Introductions and engineering design change activities.
• Work with R&D, manufacturing operations, quality, procurement and logistics to deliver product and supply base improvements to meet business needs.
• Initiate and project manage product and process change activities and technology transfers while assuring continuity of supply.
Interested applicants should have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (QQI level 8) with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience. Consideration will also be given to individuals with alternative degrees if balanced by relevant technical experience.
• Structured analysis skills with experience in complex technical troubleshooting.
• Strong manufacturing, mechanical/electromechanical/systems design skillset.
• Knowledge or experience with programming languages LabVIEW and Python (C, C++ and C# are a plus).
• Experience with test method characterization and test method validation, supported by statistical knowledge.
• An overall ability to combine technical, design and manufacturing skillsets in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to initiate and lead product optimization projects on a cross-functional and cross-site basis.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Problem solving, planning, and analytical skills. Ability to collate, analyze, and summarize large amounts of data for decision making.
