Cavan. As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will be involved in improving production processes, developing maintenance protocols, coordinating subcontractor involvement while all the time ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. You will focus on enhancing manufacturing efficiency by leading on initiatives focused on maximising efficiency and productivity. The roleCollaborate across departments for tailored solutions to boost productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality. Evaluate and improve production methods to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards of quality.Project manage the implementation of engineering solutions.Establish and lead project plans to ensure projects are managed using PM tools.Utilise engineering principles and CAD to create design drawings and specifications.Perform testing and validation of product prototypes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.Provide technical support to manufacturing teams and maintenance department on engineering issues.Facilitate handover of engineering solutions, including updates to standard operating procedures and related training documents to the operations team.Keep updated on industry trends and emerging technologies for continuous improvement and innovation.Provide insights, assisting in the adoption of innovative technologies.RequirementsA commitment to health and safety and continuous quality improvement.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders.Strong project management skills.Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, automation, industrial or manufacturing engineering, or related field.Proven experience in engineering, preferably in the manufacturing industry.Proficiency in CAD.Knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment installation.Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for machine sign off and handover.Understanding and knowledge of lean principles and Six Sigma.BenefitsIf you are a motivated engineer in the manufacturing sector looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced environment, please submit your resume via the link below.The company is an equal opportunities employer.
