About the Role
A leading public sector organisation is seeking a skilled Civil Project Engineer to play a pivotal role in delivering civil engineering and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Support project sponsors and business units in identifying project needs and requirements.
* Analyse data to establish clear objectives and success measures.
* Lead and coordinate option assessment and feasibility studies.
* Manage projects through governance processes, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations.
* Provide technical engineering insight and analysis.
* Oversee the coordination, implementation, and control of engineering projects.
* Ensure clear communication across all project phases.
* Manage issues with stakeholders, design teams, and contractors.
* Evaluate legal and regulatory requirements within project governance frameworks.
Requirements
* BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering or related degree.
* At least five years of experience in engineering and construction projects.
* Knowledge and experience in applying CDM Regulations.
* Familiarity with procurement, tender documentation, and standard conditions of contract.
* Proficiency in Auto CAD and Microsoft Office software packages.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Criteria
* Chartered Engineer status.
* Eight years of post-graduate experience, including a lead role on significant engineering projects.
* Experience in large-scale public infrastructure projects.
* Background in project management, design, and site-based practical experience.
