Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or 2 within UCD School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering.
This postdoctoral position will play an important role in a new project funded by Enterprise Ireland and an industry partner, entitled "Biofilm Disinfection Strategies for Drains". This is a role for a microbiologist based in the UCD School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering.
This research project is focused on addressing the critical issue of biofilm formation in drains, which has become a significant concern in healthcare and food processing industries. The project will deliver new insights into the removal and disinfection of drain biofilms.
PD1 Salary: €45,847 - €52,339 per annum
PD2 Salary: €53,770 - €58,479 per annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience.

The PD2 post is intended for researchers that have completed PD1. As with the PD1, if you have already completed your PD2 stage in UCD or will soon complete a PD2, or your total Postdoctoral experience, inclusive of the duration of the advertised post, would exceed 6 years, you should not apply and should refer to Research Fellow posts instead.
