About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the planning and successful delivery of contracts for our client in County Tipperary, a leading figure in specialist building and construction solutions.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be calm under pressure, organised, and methodical with a consistent approach to workload. They must also be able to establish and maintain good working relationships between the company, clients, suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Chair regular meetings with project teams to ensure progress is in line with planned programme.
* Provide clear, concise, and accurate reporting on project progress and advise on any variance.
* Work closely with the Head of Contracts to ensure financial information is relevant, accurate, and on time.
* Attend sub-contractor and client meetings to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
* Develop and adhere to detailed on and off-site programmes for assigned projects.
* Plan material, manning, and equipment levels required to achieve site programme.
* Provide technical support at tender stage.
* Take responsibility for the successful completion of assigned projects.
* Lead design management and review on design and build projects.
* Manage sub-contractors on assigned projects, including recruitment, performance management, training, and development.
* Oversee the allocation of trades and labour, ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Follow up on unacceptable sub-contractor or supplier performance.
* Support and ensure objectives are planned and implemented onsite.
* Adhere to the Integrated Management System (IMS).
* Liaise with Quality department to expeditiously dispose rejected materials.
Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree.
* Experience in a similar role and industry.
* Full clean driving licence for Ireland.
* Proficiency in Microsoft packages, including Word and Teams.
* Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings.
* Basic understanding of construction contractual terms.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
