Our client, a leading national Irish law firm, based in Limerick, dedicated to providing a range of commercial and personal legal services, is seeking an experienced Probate Legal Executive to join the team in their Limerick Office.
The Role:
To perform the duties of Legal Executive within the Probate department.
As Legal Executive - Probate, you will assist in the discharge of functions of the section under the direction of the responsible fee earner and ensure the smooth operation of the section of the office on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assist with taking instructions from clients
2. Preparation of Wills
3. Preparation of Statement of Affairs (Form SA2) and IT38
4. Preparation of Estate Accounts
5. Preparation of Oaths, Bonds, and ancillary probate documents
6. Liaising with financial institutions, probate office, and other third parties
7. Drafting of Deeds of Assent and Deeds of Transfer
8. Registration of documents in the PRA
9. Preparation of Estate Accounts
10. Drafting and registering EPAs and Wardship applications
11. Conducting archiving and managing Accounts Ledger
12. Supporting the solicitor(s) in the various areas which fall under his/her remit and prioritising work accordingly
13. Creating and editing legal documents and templates
Qualifications/Experience & Skills:
1. 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
2. Experience of drafting wills, probate papers, and assisting with the running of will and probate files
3. Proven organisational and administrative ability as well as excellent communication skills
4. A positive attitude, a proactive approach to work, and a willingness to learn
5. A high degree of attention to detail
6. Proficient in IT skills
7. Experience advising and dealing with new clients and referrals
8. Drafting wills, advising on wealth management, and administration of estates in all forms
9. Experience of Probate Litigation, licensing, and conveyancing would be an advantage
10. Diploma in Legal Studies and membership of IILEX is an advantage
The Offer:
This position offers an attractive remuneration package of €35K to €40K per annum, depending on the candidate’s experience, with a benefits package.

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm.
