Full time, permanent post, and reporting to the Clinical Director.
My client, an independent not-for-profit hospital is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist for their Dublin based in-patient mental health service.
The role will suit someone coming from a mental health and psychiatry background in clinical or acute services who has experience working with adults with neuropsychiatry or neurodegenerative illness.
Key Duties: Collaborate with the Clinical Director to support the development and delivery of operational and strategic plans.
Advise the Clinical Director of clinical priorities and pressures and be an active participant in strategic development discussions.
Provide for and ensure the delivery of positive patient and resident outcomes and with the continued strive for excellence.
Management of the clinical team members as designated by the Clinical Director.
Consult with clinical colleagues, the Clinical Director, Director of Nursing, Medical Officer, and other clinical disciplines to ensure that activities across the centre are appropriately co-ordinated and integrated.
Develop new innovative ways of delivering clinical services.
Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE and Mental Health Commission requirements and to lead on Quality Improvement, Audits and Service Evaluations.
Essential Criteria: Full registration in the Specialist Register (Psychiatrist) of Medical Practitioners maintained by the IMC.
Registered as a general adult psychiatrist with experience in either neuropsychiatry or neurodegenerative illness.
Must be able to undertake on call as a member of a rota.
Must have a management level or position of additional responsibility to their clinical area.
