Overview
Partnership with Potato Cold store manager, Warehouse Shift in charge, FG Shift in charge, Shift Maintenance team to drive business volumes of PC & NPC business. This role will be a key enabler responsible for driving Key KPI during shifts, which includes Potato net/basic/oil/corn/film/energy efficiency. This role will lead the employee engagement portfolio for permanent associates along with driving the OHS agenda. The incumbent will be responsible for delivering in these domains while ensuring complete industrial peace in liaison with the Production & ER Manager, given that Sundar Plant operates in a highly sensitive IR environment.
Responsibilities
Plant Production Operations
* Drive manufacturing culture and ensure employees' safety during shift operations.
* Responsible for achieving and/or exceeding critical manufacturing operations metrics (e.g., PC Basic & Net Efficiency, Oil Efficiency, Seasoning Efficiency, Corn Efficiency, Film Efficiency) during shift operations.
* Ensure compliance with all Quality & Food Safety Systems in place including PepsiCo, AIBI, IPS, & FSSC 22000 standards requirements during shift operations.
* Negotiate solutions with cross-functional shift teams to solve quality, safety, and downtime issues during shift operations.
* Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, alternative solutions, resolve issues, and follow up on action items in collaboration with cross-functional groups.
Recruitment & Induction
* Identify the needs and develop a strategy in partnership with the Production Manager & Plant HR team for competency-based recruitment and selection of the right candidates (Level C to 2 operators).
Capability & Talent Development
* Focus on the leadership development of the shop floor team within the department.
Engagement
* Develop and maintain positive employee relations and create innovative solutions to enhance employee engagement.
* Play an active role in OHS and action planning.
* Act as a credible advocate for PepsiCo values & new ways of working.
IR/ER
* Work closely with the Production Manager/ER team to maintain industrial peace during shift operations.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skill
Bachelor of Engineering / Food Technologist.
Experience
Preferably 4-5 years in a similar capacity/operating organization with ER/IR exposure.
